Devotion Plugin

Our new church website uses WordPress after years of custom PHP pages I used to maintain. One feature from the old site was a weekly devotional written by my friend, Brian Knitter. I created this new WordPress Plugin to show a preview/excerpt of the devotional on the calendar page and on a dedicated This Week’s Devotional page. You can download the plugin from here:

Installation

  1. Download mount-olive-devotion.zip from the “download” link on the web page where you’re viewing this or from http://rinaldo.net/mount-olive-devotion.zip (direct download link)
  2. Decompress the file contents.
  3. Upload the mount-olive-devotion folder to your WordPress plugins directory (/wp-content/plugins/).
  4. Activate the Mount Olive Devotion plugin from the WordPress Dashboard.
  5. You may now use the [mount_olive_devotion kind=”preview”] or [mount_olive_devotion kind=”full”] shortcodes in a Page or Post.
